Anyone else having trouble after expansion?

Is anyone else getting a client crash after server select screen? My eqgame file crashes when it attempts to load character select... I ran a complete file scan etc. Has anyone read anything in other forums? ATM I'm at work and can't check any forums since they're blocked...

Only thing I could think of is making sure you have the... April release at least of DirectX 9.0C installed, there is at least 1 more release since then, all called 9.0C hehe

It wouldnt be an official new expansion if we could actually log in and play the f*cker on the first day, are you new to this game? hehe

Just hung up with tech support, they said server junk on their end, would be around midnight EST.

I usually read and read and read and read and try to cover all my bases based off of what other people's problems are... so usually I don't have to worry about having these problems. (Fana's direct x issue was one of the ones I caught last expansion before I even tried to log in, before that was the awesome "I can't move my mouse pointer") This one just had me confused... it's at a point now where I can see the character select screen... unless I stop and blink then all I see is "you have been disconnected from the server noob". I'm not surprised if it IS server issues... which is going to drive me nuts because they only patch during the hours I can actually play anymore.

Oh well, it's my last day at work for this job anyway... so I just have to go back and remove EQ before the end of the day anyway... just wanted to see some of the new crap. I hope it goes flawlessly at home =p.  Besides berserker skill caps improving I'm not very moved by what they've done with zerkers.. at least from a forum PoV, things may be way different once actually played...

Beastlords however seem to be making a HUGE boost and I hope they don't touch it... just leave it the way it is! Power to the Kitties! Viva Mittens!! Viva Bonkers!!
